Description

• annual herb that grows 0.2 to 0.8 m tall
• stems erect, coarse, branched when well developed, 4 angled, bristly hairy, red tipped glandular hairs
• leaves opposite, egg to lance shaped, coarsely blunt-toothed, tips pointed, bases rounded or wedge shaped, stiff hairy, stalked
• flowers are purple, pink, or white with dark markings, and occur in several dense clusters
