The NWIPC is looking for a highly-skilled Executive Director who can build partnerships, secure funding agreements, manage the organization’s team of personnel and contractors, develop and implement strategic objectives, manage the administrative and operational budget and programs, and lead the organization in working towards our mission.

The Executive Director will be an effective, decisive leader with well-developed communication skills, a diverse skill set in business or non-profit management, as well as familiarity with invasive species (plants) and invasive species management.

This is a complex and exciting role in a dynamic field that requires a confident leader with a broad skillset to step in to assume the management of a well-functioning and stable organization.

Rural Land Owner Invasive Plant Removal Rebate (aka Weed Removal Rebate)

Rural landowners incurring a cost to control invasive weeds on their private land may be eligible for up to a 50% reimbursement (maximum $750) of the contractor costs. The fund is limited. Applications are assessed on first-come, first-served basis.

Community Invasive Plant Pull Application (CIPP)

Raise money for your community group and do something good for the environment at the same time! Your community group, or a non-profit group you designate, can earn up to $250 for pulling invasive plants in a sensitive area.

NWIPC Invasive Plant Management Areas (IPMAs)

An map that shows the eight IPMAs that comprise the operating area of the NWIPC (~1/3 of the provincial landbase). The areea stretches from the Alberta border (Mt. Robson) west to the coast and includes Haida Gwaii. From the south it starts just south of Hixon to the Yukon border.
