• annual or short lived perennial herb the grows 0.1-0.5m tall • stems are prostrate to erect, branched, and downy • leaves are alternate and occur as 3 egg shaped leaflets on a single stalk • flowers are yellow, bell shaped, and occur in numbers between 10 and 40 on each axillary raceme
